The FAA has issued a safety alert for all Part 107 drone pilots and hobbyist’s operating during Hurricane Dorian. Be safe and don’t interfere. It is our responsibility as drone pilots to follow the rules and be safe. Drone pilots need to be checking for NOTAMs as the storm is closing in on the south-east coast of the US. If you are operating during or after the storm hits insure that it is for an active disaster response or recovery mission. It is important to remember to stay out of the way so that our emergency response teams can do their jobs more effectively. Stay safe and fly smart.
